Happy New Year to you my Substack subscriber. It is an honour and privilege to be able to connect with you via writing on Substack. In that light, I wish to thank you for finding my writing interesting enough to read and subsequently subscribe to. I promise to deliver quality writing and give you the best experience I can offer this year and in subsequent years.
I want to use this short piece to layout my framework for the year 2022, so that you may know what to expect. My writing is going to continue to centre on global issues bordering on socio-politics, religion, philosophy, race, science, economics and popular culture. This year, I would also highlight more of the issues on the African continent as it relates to the areas aforementioned, in a bid to bring African issues to the forefront and a wider international community.
I intend to release two write-ups every month, with a posting schedule of every other week on a Monday. So beginning today, I’m going to post a piece originally published on the Journal of Free Black Thought, entitled “Cancel Culture Kills Comedy”
You may or may not have read this piece, but I thought it was good enough to archive here. I will also periodically post short interesting pieces from my crime fiction novel, Hotel Shendam— which features a debate on race and colonialism. I hope you find them interesting enough to want to order a copy of the book.
I am open to suggestions on any topic you’d like me to write on and I’ll also appreciate any tips, corrections or contributions that would enable me to give you the best experience in this Substack.
Please continue with me as we make memories together. Thank you!
